Question: "Is it wrong to feel disappointment with God?"

As per "Got Questions.org":  Question: "Is it wrong to feel disappointment with God?"

Answer: Disappointment with God is not necessarily wrong or sinful; rather, it is a part of the human condition. The word "disappointment" means "a feeling of dissatisfaction when one’s hopes, desires, and expectations fail to come to pass." When God somehow fails to satisfy our hopes or doesn’t live up to our expectations, disappointment inevitably follows. If God doesn’t perform in the manner we think He should, we are disillusioned with Him and dissatisfied with His performance. This can lead to wavering faith in God, especially in His sovereignty and His goodness.

When God doesn’t act when we think He should act, it isn’t because He is unable to do so. Rather, He simply chooses not to. While this might seem an arbitrary or capricious act on His part, the exact opposite is true. God chooses to act or not to act according to His perfect and holy will in order to bring about His righteous purposes. Nothing happens that is out of God’s plan. He has control of every molecule that floats around in the universe, and God’s will encompasses every act and decision made by every person throughout the world at all times. He tells us in Isaiah 46:11, “From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do.” Even the birds are somehow part of His foreordained plan. Furthermore, there are times when He chooses to let us know His plans (Isaiah 46:10) and times when He does not. Sometimes we understand what He is doing; sometimes we do not (Isaiah 55:9). One thing we do know for sure: if we belong to Him, whatever He does will be to our benefit, whether we understand it or not (Romans 8:28).

The key to avoiding disappointment with God is to align our wills with His and to submit to His will in all things. Doing so will not only keep us from being disappointed with God, but it will also preclude grumbling and complaining about the events that occur in our lives. The Israelites in the desert griped and questioned God on several occasions, despite having seen miraculous displays of His power in the parting of the Red Sea, the provision of manna and quail in the wilderness, and the glory of the Lord that followed them in the form of a pillar of fire (Exodus 15–16; Numbers 14:2-37). Despite God’s continual faithfulness to His people, they grumbled and were disappointed with God because He did not act as they thought He should. Rather than submitting to His will and trusting Him, they were in a constant state of turmoil and confusion.

When we align our wills with God’s will and when we can say, with Jesus, “Not my will but yours be done” (Luke 22:42), then we find the contentment Paul spoke of in 1 Timothy 6:6-10 and Philippians 4:11-12. Paul had learned to be content with whatever God sent his way. He trusted God and submitted to His will, knowing that a holy, righteous, perfect, loving, and merciful God would work all things together for his good because that is what He promised. When we see God in that light, we can’t possibly be disappointed with Him. Rather, we submit willingly to our heavenly Father, knowing that His will is perfect and that everything He brings to pass in our lives will be for our good and for His glory.

How to beat the father of lies at his own game:

When I told God a couple years ago He couldn't use me because "I'm not pure", He said rather sharply "You're pure enough"!! In other words, pure enough to minister to those He has for me to minister to--those who relate to the "impure". This "I'm not good enough" mess is one of the biggest lies of satan and one of the ones he uses the most. He ALWAYS uses a lie that he knows we will believe! Depending on who and how you are and how you believe about yourself. He has a whole bag full of them and just individualizes which one(s) you've shown that you will easily buy! Over and over. Finally one day, I realized that his lies are boring. Same old same old. He only has so many!! Told him so. And guess what, as soon as you KNOW this, his power is gone in that area!!

The Breath of God

Genesis 2:18 ...It is not good for the man to be alone...I believe we have overlooked and underestimated the awesome power that is hidden in our families. When God created us He placed us in a family. There is something about a family atmosphere that generates the power for us to subdue the earth and bring His Kingdom into the affairs of this world. I believe satan feared the seed of the woman—for it would have the power to destroy him. He well knew that even our children would contend with him in the gate (see Psalm 127:5). I believe this is why the Lord's desire has always been to "set the solitary (the lonely, widows, orphans and the fatherless) in families" (Psalm 68:6).

The Greatest "National Treasure" is in Your House

In the story in 2 Kings 4, Elisha visits a widow with two sons, and she happens to have just a little oil left. Her sons were about to be taken as slaves because of the debt she owed. The government could not help her. So, she comes to Elisha for help. Elisha asked her, "What do you have in your house?" She had looked everywhere for her answer except in her own house. In other words, Elisha was saying to her, "You don't know the awesome miracle power that is in your own house!" I believe today many are looking to see what is in the White House that will save our nation. But God is asking His people this hour, "What is in your house? Do you realize the greatest 'national treasure' is in your own house?" I believe that great "national treasure" lies within our family members. Many times, diamonds in the rough are hard to see. The troubles that have come into your family are about to bless you!

"I'm Equipping Families to Take Their Nations!"

Joshua 24:15 ...As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

I believe as Joshua was declaring to the nation of Israel to choose life or death, he was proclaiming the importance of not only his personal choice, but also his heart for his family. I sensed Joshua's heart for every father and mother was for them to decree that their families would serve the Lord, also. Was he sensing the power that families hold in influencing the whole nation from being destroyed? I sense he believed that if God could save him, God could save his family. And I further sense that he was believing if God could save his family, He could also save the whole nation! He believed that the "national treasure" was in his house!

Acts 16:31 Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.I sense that we need to decree now more than ever that our whole household shall be saved, and begin to decree over America: "One Nation, Our Nation, Under God!" Our Father still has this dream in His heart that not only your family, but a whole nation can be saved in a day!

Isaiah 66:8 Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.Could it be, ever since the garden of Eden, that the enemy well knows that families hold the hidden power to destroy his kingdom and deliver whole nations? Is it any wonder why he unleashes Hell upon families?Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.I believe this great outpouring was intended for our families first, and then God knew nothing else could stop it from going upon all flesh! I even sense that each family member has certain keys for the family's health and deliverance that could ultimately result in the deliverance for our nation. Look again. I believe the answer for our nation is right inside of our own house!"

O America, May I Blow My Breath into Your Households?"

"O America, may I blow My breath into your households? I want to blow My breath into the nostrils of every family member. Great-grandparents down to the babies in the womb. I am about to make personal house calls in this nation. I am coming 3-D Technicolor straight to where you live. There are angels standing at attention with your personal addresses written on them that will be released to set up camp round about your dwelling place, to deliver family members far and near. Houses will be turned into homes." May I blow My breath into your households? Prodigals will phone home. Missing children unable to be found for many years will be rescued by the breath of My Spirit! I have been patient in the past with your family members who have resisted Me. I have gently knocked on the door of their house and hearts. But now I will huff and puff and blow the front door down! I'm coming in!"The Miracle for Our Nation is in Our House! I believe God's own shofar is beginning to blow into our households right now, releasing the sounds of salvation, healing, deliverance and the equipping of whole families to take their nations! Receive it now!Prayer: "Lord, we receive Your breath of life into our families' nostrils to live again. We call each family member a royal priesthood, a chosen generation. We call those things that are not as though they already are. We call them saved, healed and delivered. We call them our 'National Treasures'! We are going to accept our family members right where they are and love them unconditionally. We are going to treat them as though they are already saved. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!" Bill Yount

Thus sayeth the Lord: I am More Than Able

Eileen Fisher: I Am More than Able to Be Your Burden-Bearer
The following corporate prophetic word was given by Eileen Fisher on June 15, 2010 during her
weekly Prophetic School of the Holy Spirit meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado:
"As You Plant in Worship, You Will Reap In Answers"
I heard the Lord say, "As you pour out to Me, I pour into you." He said, "Have I not said in My
Word, 'Seek first the Kingdom of God and My righteousness'? When you worship Me, you are
allowing Me to fill you with My righteousness. And when I fill you with My righteousness, I am
making 'right' that which has been 'wronged.'
"For I would say learn the secret of the inner chamber; learn that it is about Me. Learn that I have
said build the ark; know that I have said I will dwell within My people; do not run to and fro, but
enter in. For I want to train you up and raise you to where you will become worshipers in Spirit
and in Truth—in Spirit of My Word, in Spirit of My power, in Spirit of all that I have called and
commanded you to do, to become abiders in My Word that My Word may abide in you—to where
you will be 'blended' with My Spirit and My Word. For I have said, 'Worship Me in Spirit and in
Truth.'
"I know the pain you are going through, I know the stress, the worry, the sicknesses, the disease;
the burdens, the doubts, the unbelief, and I am more than able to be your Burden-Bearer. But how
can I bear your burdens if you do not come unto Me? Have I not said in My Word, 'Cast your
cares upon Me'? Cast your cares from a place of worship, draw from My presence, pour out into
My presence; for as you plant in worship, you will reap in answers.
"You Do Not Stand Alone in the Battle, But I Am Raising You and Training You to Stand in Me"
"Look at My Word, did I not command the people of old to come forth with rejoicing and singing in
their hearts? Even though they did not receive the answers, I required obedience better than
sacrifice. Have I not commanded you to come into My presence with praise and thanksgiving?
That means in every moment; that means when you are alone; that means when you come
together; that means when I've called you to assemble, that I might pour out My Spirit upon you.
For I am looking for a thirsty people who will come and drink of My presence, so that they may be
the carriers of My presence.
"So, tonight I have come to be the lifter of your head... Thank you, thank you, for as you
worshiped Me the angels danced. For I tell you this night, you will start to reap answers, for you
chose to leave heartache, disappointment, fear, unbelief, pain...and have focused upon Me. I am
raising up a military army who will be militant with My Word and will have the sound of worship
upon their lips. When the trumpet will sound, they will not hear it as a strange sound, but they will
recognize the breath of an angel, and they will know My Bride is about to see answered prayers;
for I am not a God who sleeps, though I am a God who stands, and I am requesting this night that
you stand.
"As you have stood, I want you to realize Christ Jesus in you is standing up, also. You do not
stand alone in the battle, but I am raising you and training you to stand in Me. When the enemy
comes he will not find you standing, but he will have found that I have stood, and he will tremble
and leave. Worship defeats warfare, worship declares and establishes, worship is the cloud of
glory that you create with your very breath and lips and walk under. Learn to flow with the cloud of
glory, for in there lay your answers. For I am Thee Glorified, the King of Glory," says the Lord your
God.

LET FREEDOM RING!!!

Once again, I enjoyed the sense of completion, relief, freedom and, well, JOY that comes from knowing you have finally made (and acted upon) the decision to end a long-term relationship filled with domestic violence. I wasn't getting hit and it wasn't a man I lived with, so it took me a lot longer this time to recognize what was going on. Abuse is abuse is abuse. And misery is misery either way.

It was 36 years ago to the day that I felt that same set of emotions as I left the abusive relationship I was in then, and I had forgotten how good it feels to once again be FREE. Dig for the truth. It is the truth that sets you free!

Thank you, Sister B!

What is salvation?

Before you can receive spiritual deliverance you must be born again. In 1 Cor. 2:14 it says, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned.” KJV
Salvation is personal and no one can make that decision for you nor make the decision to stand as a substitute in your place. The only way to be cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
First, God loves us. The scriptures tell us in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” KJV
Second, sin separates us from God. Here is what the Scriptures say:
Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one” KJV
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” KJV
Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” KJV
What we have inherited from Adam was not simply a stain that we can erase with a drop of water in a baptismal ceremony. The Bible does not state that the stain of the original sin can be removed by water. But because of one man’s (Adam) disobedience, we all became sinners. Romans 5:12 tells us, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” KJV
Going to church every Sunday doesn’t make you a child of God. While in a Bible class a person asked, “What does it mean to be born again?” The Bible class leader answered “Born again means going to church every Sunday.” There are many people who have gone to church for years and have not been born again. Obviously that was not the right answer.
A young child from his physical birth has inherited a suitcase (sin) on his back, a baggage through generational sins as seen in Ex. 20:5 and 34:7. With no one teaching him how, he will start to disobey, get angry, tell lies and do many other things that will devastate his parents and have them wondering why. In Psalm 51:5 we read, “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” KJV
The only one who can redeem us from the curse of the law is Jesus Christ. John 3:5 says, “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” KJV

Even if you say that you have your religion and that you were baptized, confirmed and go to church every Sunday, this is still not the new birth. The liar, the adulterer, the one who blasphemes the name of God, the evil slanderer who takes pleasure in destroying the reputations of others, the drunkard and the thief, all have their religion. Neither their behavior nor their baptism has made them a child of God. Their actions and their conduct would definitely prove the opposite.
They think that if they go to church every Sunday, confess their sin, and, with no regrets, come out and start their immoral behavior all over again, their religions will save them. They assume they are going to make it to heaven. This is not what the Bible reveals.
Salvation is when you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and you turn your back on sin. Salvation is when you renounce any worldly pleasure and every involvement with corrupt and wicked ways and not wanting to sin anymore. (In the dictionary, “renounce” means: to give up a habit, a practice or former things.) You focus your heart and mind on God and let Him be your judge.
The one who has not been redeemed from the curse of the law doesn’t want to let go of their worldly chains and cannot be set free. To be forgiven of one’s sin in the Old Testament, blood had to be shed over and over again. In the New Testament Jesus, who is the perfect Lamb of God, shed His Blood once and for all as explained in (Heb. 7:27). When we sin, we go directly to Him to be forgiven and delivered.

Jesus is a respecter of people. He will not push His way into your heart but will wait patiently for His children to let Him be the Lord of your lives. In other words, Jesus will become your deliverer and your gentle Master. He is filled with compassion and mercy and when you release your burdens to Him, He is willing to forgive and set you free from Satan’s captivity.

Repentance is for the Christian who sincerely wants to walk closer with God. When a person comes for deliverance and sits on what I call the “hot seat,” he/she must be willing to repent of bondages that the Holy Spirit reveals. An unwillingness to forgive will block the work of the Holy Spirit.
Being honest and sincere, with an eagerness to judge only themselves and not others, will free the Holy Spirit to do His work in their hearts. You can see this in Matt. 6:14-15, “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” KJV

According to 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanses us from all unrighteousness. KJV In Isa. 1:18, we learn that God promises to forgive us all our sins even if they are red as crimson and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness.
You might ask “Is God ready to forgive me all of my sins?” God who is so full of mercy is ready to forgive all who repents and forsake their wicked ways. All sin is an indication of selfishness and pride in some form.
When we come to the throne of mercy and are sincere in renouncing our selfish ways our wonderful Savior will forgive us our trespasses. If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior pray the following prayer with all your heart.
The Sinner’s Prayer
“Lord Jesus, forgive me all of my sins.  I believe you died on the cross for me.
I repent of my sins and I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior.
I open the door of my heart and invite you to come in.
Wash and cleanse me of all unrighteousness.
I turn my back on sin and I want to follow you
for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ Name.
Amen”

Wikipedia

Wikipedia is on my mind. I wish you people would please understand that Wikipedia is a site composed by just PEOPLE. People like you and me. Well, maybe not so much me, because if it were there wouldn't be stupid information there about David Ruffin! Haters can put up anything they want! I did get a few corrections made, but please!

And while I'm at it, please stop taking Otis' "movie" for a true documentary. It's not! It's a Hollywood film meant to entertain (and from my perspective it misleads the public and rewrites black history). Sigh.

I guess in a hundred years, maybe it won't matter anyway though, so I should chill.

He Called me Joy

Around the New Year of 2008, I began to have the feeling that God wanted to and was going to change my name that year. The feeling remained and even grew stronger as the months went by. I had no idea what it would be, I just knew it would have meaning and be relative to the life I now have in Him. I had no idea how it would happen--looking back, I guess I kind of thought it would be something that would come to me as I read the Bible. I really didn't spend a lot of time trying to figure that out; I just knew it was going to happen. And, "Yes", I thought. "That does seem appropriate. What with all thehealing and all. I was coming out of an old life and old identity to a new life and a new identity in Christ! I was suddenly looking very much forward to finding out who God would have me be--and His reason for the change!

So, at the end of our final Inner Healing class (called “Breakthrough to Joy”) at church (which this time Brother Stephen taught--on walking in the spirit. And on being), we always have the father's and the mother's blessings spoken. I found out that not only me, but a lot of us were probably not spoken blessings over as children--maybe even curses. So the leaders speak those blessings over a grateful bunch of healed and healing children in the form of adults to reverse those curses and to bring those blessings into fruition. Again, I was led to go to Brother Stephen. Some were reading from a page, but he did not. He spoke quite a long blessing over me and I wish I could remember it all verbatim. In fact, I wish I had a recording of it. But there was a point when it seemed to me (and I bet he'd know when that was) that he began to prophecy. He said that I was going into a time of rest and that I'd be able to bring that rest to others. He said that I was going to be like "a sponge for God" and that every time anyone squeezed me, I'd ooze the love and joy of God out all over them. And that God was going to keep refilling and refilling me. He said that I was going to change everyone I came in contact with; everyone I spoke with (this part felt like it was especially [but not only] referring to my job, where I speak to people on the phone all day and have been waiting on God to tell me how to be in the job and to stop worrying about getting out of the job). And then, "Your whole countenance is changed. In fact (as he took me by the shoulders like a Father might), I'm changing your name right now! He continued, fairly shouting, YOUR NAME IS JOY!"

I had my head down with my ear by his mouth so as to not miss one word, so I couldn't really jump--much as I wanted to, I had to force myself not to. I didn't want to bust him in the chin! But I started stomping and stomping my right foot, saying "I knew it, I knew it, I knew He was going to do this this year!" Then there was like an explosion and I've lost track of all that happened there. Then Steve was saying "Now we have to change your name tag!" I was asking "What about a last name? It can't be this" (pointing to the name tag). He said "What was your maiden name"? I pointed again to the hyphenated name; he kind of shrugged and said maybe it's just JOY". I was kind of in a daze, but remember going over to Jennifer, who had been a co-leader, and was excitedly telling her about it. When Steve went by, she said, "Have you met Joy"? "I was there when it happened!" he said. Irene went by and I was going to tell her, but she said she had heard the whole thing! So there were at least two witnesses! I wasn't trippin'! Wow.

I stumbled around the church quite a while and told everyone I saw! Again, the funny looks! I just didn't know what to do next. My old life was outside and I wasn't sure how to approach it as Joy! Finally I got in the car and drove. As I went down Fairground Street mumbling in my head about a last name, the Holy Spirit told me as if to pacify me "Ok, go online to one of the searchable Bible sites when you get home and search "Joy". You'll find something there (I think He said 'to use for now if you must')." I did just that and found a lot of things that wouldn't work, like "Joy in the morning", "Joy in the Lord" etc. Then I saw "joyful heart". That was it! Joy Fulheart. God is a good Father. But wait, it's not over. I believe He is going to change my last name again before the year is over. Fulheart wasn't what He wanted; He just did that for my sake. I didn't want to go without a last name. So in His time, He will reveal the last name He wanted me to have. I'm thinking it may even already belong to someone, and we will just share it! (Wink, wink.) So, I will wait. If no further name changes have been revealed, maybe I'll do the legal name change to Joy Fulheart at the end of the year. And let next year worry about next year!

Three really cool postscripts:
(1) He let me know in advance He was doing this. It was a prophecy fulfilled and was probably necessary to help me know that it's real. (John 14:29 "I've told you this beforehand, so that when it does happen, the confirmation will deepen your belief in me").
(2) The name of the wife after me was "Joy". So, I know that I know that it was not me who chose the name for myself! That would have never crossed my mind in my wildest dreams! LOL.
(3) And I didn't realize this part until I was emailing folks about this later that night—but it was a Breakthrough to JOY!! That's me!

I WAS LOOKING ONLINE EARLIER TONIGHT

for the symbols used by each of the 12 Tribes of Israel for their shields and banners, and found this interesting page: 12 Tribes of Israel

This one is a representation of the Lion of Judah!

Wait a minute!!

Hold on, it just hit me!! Mary had a little Lamb! I guess I was the last one to figure that out. Duh! =o)

Jesus was a Root  (descendant) of David of the Judah tribe of Israel. (I'd say a Root OFF David). And yes, Mary was also descended from the line of King David. So, doubly strong spiritual dna out of the Judah tribe.

(Perhaps this nursery rhyme was the attempt of a frustrated woman of God to tell--at least hint at--the Gospel of Jesus Christ and at the same time, avoid persecution. It was written by Sarah Hale of Boston in 1830).
